What kind of stresses and troubles are you having in your life?
It’s interesting, there are all levels of troubles. Some are devastated with relationship problems. I’ve met others on a cancer forum that are fighting for their very life. Others fight addictions and some fight drama and anxiety of all kinds.
The fact of the matter is that this is not heaven and we will have troubles. Jesus said himself “In this world you will have trouble, but be brave! I have defeated the world.” (John 16:33 NCV)
I know it’s easier said than done - but to do as Christ said - “Be brave! Because Jesus has defeated the troubles of the world.” Is true, however it’s just not that easy is it?
During the days of Isaiah the prophet there was “Crying heard everywhere in Moab. Their crying is heard as far away as the city Eglaim; it is heard as far away as Beer Elim. The water of the city Dibon is full of blood, and I, the Lord, will bring even more troubles to Dibon. A few people living in Moab have escaped the enemy, but I will send lions to kill them.” (Isaiah 15:8-9 NCV)
Wow - why not just bow to God? Why continue to experience his judgement? Somehow, we don’t turn to him when we should. So many in the Bible never would bow their knee to God Almighty.
And this was only a small segment of rebels. Many tribes and other peoples had drifted from God and were destroyed.
This story symbolizes the judgement and consequences of those who ultimately reject God’s offer of salvation through his son Jesus Christ.
Man, I know that sounds so religious and preachy, yet Christ really does save “and helps us now” in our life until the day we die.
Christ has truly set us free from sin, addiction, our idols, bad relationships, and much more. Christ is God’s ultimate act of love and grace to and for us.
Christ provides the strength to endure and if for some reason we die sooner than we expected, he provides a beautiful transition to eternity, heaven and place of no pain and eternal joy.
Here is the take-away.
In the end, if you and I are not a Christ follower, our experiences after death will much like the rebels mentioned above. Why would we submit our lives to such devastation forever?
There is nothing like the freedom that God, Christ and The Holy Spirit provides. To “finally” be free from your demon, your stress and your troubles is such a blessing.
LORD, please help the one that can’t believe. Please give us the faith to believe and believe more. Please help us to bring our troubles to you first. Then, just pray and listen. Please deliver solutions, miracles and strength. And if the trouble will take our life sooner than we ever thought, please help us be strong, save us from suffering and bring us home to you peacefully. Thank you for offering your Son to save our souls. That was our biggest trouble and problem that you saved us from. IJNIP amen ♥️
