The Bottom Line Of Chemo

Do I want chemo? No. I don’t even want leukemia. However, it’s what God has allowed in my life. So I will praise Him in the storm.

As Job said “The Lord gives, and he takes away. Praise the name of the Lord.” (Job‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬ ‭NCV‬)

The 5 days of chemo cladribine (chemo) and the following 8 week treatment of rituximab (monoclonal antibody) is not what I want, no more than someone wants an amputation, a serious surgery or the loss of a loved one. It’s not my desire.

However, with the successful statistics, which are not guaranteed, it’s a time to become permanently serious of my diet to keep cancer at bay. It’s a time to walk close to God. My life is no more in his hands now than it was before, however cancer does incredible things for your walk with Christ, God and The Holy Spirit.

Cancer adds value to each day and causes you to speak about things with more value. I don’t want chemo. I don’t want cancer. But I do want a closer relationship with God, Christ, The Holy Spirit and others.

So in a way, leukemia is a blessing and I’m going to trust God to protect me from the side-effects.

If you would, ask him to bless me from the side-effect, I would appreciate it.

LORD, we all need you. Please, Holy Spirit, protect me and heal all my cancer friends and Derek with ALS - just heal us please. IJNIP amen ♥️
