Walking With Unanswered Questions

Have you ever wondered why God doesn’t just tell us everything? Why He allows certain things to stay hidden or confusing? Why some prayers seem to go unanswered, or some mysteries never get explained?

I have a buddy that seems to be bothered deeply as why bad things happen to good people? Why did Jesus get brutally beaten beyond the recognition of being human and put on a cross for our sins (not his)?

Now we know - to save our soul and defeat death in resurrection. And to offer us Salvation. He was a perfect man that experienced a very bad thing.

Proverbs 25:2 says, “God is honored for what He keeps secret. Kings are honored for what they can discover.” At first glance, it sounds like a riddle, but inside that mystery is a powerful truth about faith and growth.

God hides truth not to keep us away from it, but to draw us toward Him.

His secrets are not walls to block us out, they are doors waiting to be opened through faith, humility, and time. The Hebrew word for “discover” means to search out thoroughly.

That’s where the honor comes in, not from instant answers, but from the pursuit itself. The process of searching reveals the heart of the seeker.

I have learned that I don’t know it all. In fact, the more I learn about the Bible, the more questions I have. But that’s okay. I think one of the most powerful elements in my walk with God is learning to faithfully walk with my questions unanswered.

Not knowing everything is not a reason to quit, or to stop believing, or to stop trying to live in obedience to God’s way. It’s actually the proof of real faith, to trust when you can’t see, to keep walking when you don’t understand.

Sometimes God’s greatest honor is found in His silence. He withholds some things because He knows our hearts aren’t ready, or because the lesson is learned in the waiting, or because His ways are simply too deep for our limited view.

Isaiah 55:8–9 reminds us, “My thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says the Lord.

So when life doesn’t make sense, honor God for what He knows and you don’t. Keep searching His Word. Keep asking. Keep walking.

Jeremiah 29:13 says, “If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.” That’s a promise, not that we’ll understand everything, but that we’ll find Him.

Sometimes, the most worshipful thing you can say is, “Lord, I don’t understand, but I trust You.”

GOD, thank You for being wiser, deeper, and greater than I can ever comprehend. Help me to honor You not just in what I know, but in what I don’t. Teach me to walk faithfully with questions still unanswered. Grow my trust, strengthen my patience, and help me keep searching until the day when everything becomes clear in Your presence - probably when I die. IJNIP amen ♥️
