If you were told today that you may have something that could take your life sooner than you thought, how would you respond?
This happened to me yesterday.
I was told my white blood and platelet counts were low and it could spell Leukemia - hopefully not. Two weeks later, it was still dropping radically, along with my dang red blood cells. Now, I’m going in for a bone marrow biopsy - geez!
I think any bad health news is bad and can challenge the patient and others affected. So here’s some tips.
One, it’s time to act on the faith we’ve always professed. It’s important on a day to day basis to possess what we profess. Why? Because if something unexpected arises, you and I are deep in our trust, faith and beliefs.
If this is baked into our lifestyle, it helps us to be prepared. Sooner or later, some type of bad news will come.
Second, it’s a good time to ask “What do you “really” love?” We’ve all heard “Love the Lord with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength and love others as ourself.” (Matthew 22:37-40)
I journaled this morning that I love Tennessee, my marriage, our new home and I love my life right now. It feels like I’m at my prime of experience, knowledge, health, wisdom, strength and my love for God and others.
However, if God calls you and me home early, do you love Him, Christ, The Holy Spririt and the thought of leaving here as something that you love more?
The Apostle John said: “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If you love the world, the love of the Father is not in you.”(1 John 2:15, 17 NCV) If you don’t have this love, ask God for it.
Last, I recommend acting on your faith of healing and wholeness. As silly as it may sound, say out loud, “In the name of Jesus Christ, by the power of God Almighty and with the help of The Holy Spirit, I will live as if I am healthy until God says otherwise.”
Try to act on your beliefs and faith daily and trust God. I mean really trust Him. If you are in the habit of this previously, you will be well equipped later if alarming news occurs
Claim healing, health and act on it. The Apostle James says:
“But the truly happy people are those who carefully study God’s perfect law that makes people free, and they continue to study it. They do not forget what they heard, but they obey what God’s teaching says. Those who do this will be made happy.” (James 1:25 NCV)
Act on God’s word daily - or at least try to.
LORD, you know my heart. You know my respect, love and honor I have for you - and others. You know what I love. Yes, I admit I love the things in my life now. I’m like little Billy in the classroom, when asked “Who wants to go to heaven?” Billy didn’t raise his hand. Asked why, he said “I do want to go, but just not today”. If you would, grant me more time here, please give me health and healing I need. I’m marching forward declaring health and healing in the name of Jesus Christ. IJNIP amen ♥️
