How do you bring your best to God every day?
It’s so easy to slip into a routine of mediocrity, isn’t it? But God calls us to more.
While some things in the book of Leviticus may not directly apply to our lives today, the heart of the message still does.
Take sacrifices, for example. One of them was the fellowship offering. God instructed:
"If someone brings a fellowship offering to the Lord, either as payment for a special promise the person has made or as a special gift the person wants to give the Lord, it might be from the herd or from the flock. But it must be healthy, with nothing wrong with it, so that it will be accepted." (Leviticus 22:21 NCV)
God is asking us to give our best - all the time - every day.
Bringing our best to God doesn’t just affect our relationship with Him—it overflows into every aspect of our lives.
- When we take care of our health, we’re better able to serve and connect with others.
- When we steward our finances wisely, we’re in a position to help those in need.
- And when we choose to love, that love naturally pours out onto everyone around us.
The Apostle Paul reminds us of this in Colossians:
"In all the work you are doing, work the best you can. Work as if you were doing it for the Lord, not for people. Remember that you will receive your reward from the Lord, which he promised to his people. You are serving the Lord Christ." (Colossians 3:23-24 NCV)
When we live with an eternal mindset, everything shifts.
Generosity becomes second nature. Anxiety over daily struggles fades. Our focus turns to helping others prepare for eternity—because, ultimately, this life is just a tiny blip compared to what’s ahead - eternity.
But while we’re here, what a privilege it is to work hard, stay healthy, give freely, serve joyfully, love deeply, and forgive fully.
There’s nothing like offering God—and others—our very best. It honors Him, blesses those around us, and enriches our own lives in ways we can’t imagine.
What in your life deserves and needs your best?
LORD, help us wake up each day with a desire to give You our best—to live, love, and serve in a way that glorifies You and impacts those around us. IJNIP, amen. ❤️
