Where Does Your Help Come From?

What type of help do you need right now? If you don’t need help now, give it some time, soon the need will arise.

If you do need help now, do you need a miracle? Do you need a job? Does a relationship need help? Do you need to fix or heal yourself before getting into a quality relationship?

So, where will will your help come from? Will it be from money or a better job? Will it come from owning more stuff or getting stronger? Will your help come from better circumstances or a relationship?

Back in the day, God’s people were depending on everything but God for help. Isaiah the prophet said:

“How terrible it will be for those people who go down to Egypt for help. They think horses will save them. They think their many chariots and strong horsemen will save them. But they don’t trust God, the Holy One of Israel, or ask the Lord for help.” (Isaiah‬ ‭31‬:‭1‬ ‭NCV‬‬)

In short, the people depended on the things of the world to help them.

I can tell you as one who has had a successful business, has become financially strong and debt free - and owns pretty much whatever we want - when leukemia showed up (and I’ve had prostate cancer in 2008 as well) it rattled my cage a bit.

At that point, my money, my stuff, and my good circumstances cannot heal leukemia. I have a friend with ALS. He’s well off and has a beautiful family and his circumstances are almost dreamy. Now, with ALS, he needs God more than ever.

The Apostle Paul said “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13 ESV) Do you really believe this?

It can be a stretch for some, however the one that spoke creation into existence, that created our bodies, that owns all the wealth on earth, and is GOD ALMIGHTY - He is the creator and we are the creation - God is our salvation from anything and everything.

Jesus himself said; “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21 ESV) We should walk with God and do his will.

God has provided salvation through Jesus Christ. All of our sins are not only forgiven, and not only can this radically change and improve our life now, we are also promised salvation after death.

Only God provides this salvation. Only God loves when we don’t love him. God is the first to love, the first to offer salvation and the first to extend help. We are only one decision away from receiving His help. All we have to do is ask him.

No, our circumstances may not change, but we will. Our ultimate healing may be heaven. We were never intended to stay here forever. Jesus said “In this world you will have trouble, but be brave! I have defeated the world.” (John‬ ‭16‬:‭33‬ ‭NCV‬‬)

GOD, may we walk with you. May we love you, Christ, The Holy Spirit and always put our faith in you. Help us to rely on Jesus Christ and in The Holy Spirit for help. Help us. Save us. Complete us. Rescue us. And thank you for your help. IJNIP amen ♥️
