Unseen But Not Absent

How is God moving in your life right now?
Is it hard? Are you on a mountaintop, enjoying life? Or are you walking through something that you never saw coming?
Can you even see God in your story?
Sometimes He’s firm, and we may need that. Sometimes He’s gracious, and we definitely need and enjoy that. Sometimes He completely holds us up when we can’t even stand on our own.
I joke around a lot, but in my early morning moments, I think deep. I ponder wide. I sit still and reflect on how God is moving in my life, and even in yours, especially if we know each other well.
Just this morning, so many people came to mind. One told me today, “I’m in a spot.” An old guy is struggling with bordom and lost purpose. Another has pain undiagnosed. Others deeply miss their loved ones. I could keep going.
And I bet you could too. In fact, you might be in your own storm right now.
So stop for a second. Ask yourself: What is God doing or allowing in my life? What am I supposed to do with this? How should I respond? What are my next moves?
I know it sounds religous, but: “Trust the Lord with all your heart, and don’t depend on your own understanding. Remember the Lord in all you do, and he will give you success” (Proverbs 3:5–6 NCV).
If I may suggest a few things. Keep moving forward. Keep serving others. When you serve, you heal. When you give, you give to yourself. When you help others be strong, you become stronger. When you pray, you begin to heal.
“Give, and you will receive. You will be given much. Pressed down, shaken together, and running over” (Luke 6:38 NCV).
So take a breath and ask God to show you His plan. His purpose. His path.
Because He really does have a unique, custom-made plan just for you. He hasn’t forgotten you. Not in the pain. Not in the triumph.
Even for me, as I travel and horse around, I still want to keep God first. I want to prioritize Him. I want to prioritize others. I want to pray for you, for me, for my wife, my kids, my family, and friends who are struggling.
“I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, will give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation so that you will know him better” (Ephesians 1:17 NCV).
And I pray we all pay close attention to what God is doing. I pray that others, including me, will always help, love, share, support and keep asking the Holy Spirit to strengthen you, me and anyone who calls on Him.
Lord, please give me and all those that I know are struggling the eyes to see it, the ears to hear it, and the heart to act on it. JESUS, you wouldn’t die for us and now abandon us. Help us believe it, trust it and act on it. In your name we pray - amen ♥️
