What is your go to when you face something hard? When it seems too big, what’s your defense?
This type of storm will come to every person.
In some ways I feel sorry for the naive confident person that has not faced their storm yet. Give it time, it will come, because we live in a broken world with broken people.
Are you familiar the Saul / Paul?
When he was Saul, he persecuted Christian’s. When he was given the name Paul, the Apostle Paul, he belonged to Jesus Christ.
One time, while shipped wrecked on an island, “Paul gathered a pile of sticks and was putting them on the fire when a poisonous snake came out because of the heat and bit him on the hand.” (Acts 28:3 NCV)
“The people living on the island saw the snake hanging from Paul’s hand and said to each other, “This man must be a murderer! He did not die in the sea, but Justice does not want him to live.” (Acts 28:4 NCV)
“But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and was not hurt. The people thought that Paul would swell up or fall down dead. (Acts 28:5 NCV)
“They waited and watched him for a long time, but nothing bad happened to him. So they changed their minds and said, “He is a god!” (Acts 28:5-6 NCV)
God saved Paul. This is how you overcome.
It’s the element that doesn’t make sense to unbelievers. It’s the fact that looks like fiction to those who don’t trust Christ as their Lord and Savior.
How do we overcome anything? We ask God to protect us. We seek the help of the helper of all helpers, The Holy Spirit.
How do we overcome anything? We ask the one that died for our sins, Jesus Christ to go to God and ask on our behalf for the help you need.
Yes, do all you can do to help yourself, however there is always an element that you can’t control. Ask this Holy Team to help you. They will.
This story of Paul is your story. God can take poison and make it poisonless. Jesus saves. The Holy Spirit helps. God controls.
LORD, please stand in the gap of the things we cannot control. If we decide wrong as we are trying to do right, have mercy on us and help us overcome. IJNIP amen ♥️
